MISSION STATEMENT
To provide services for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their families through early childhood learning and care with developmentally appropriate outdoor play areas, fruit and vegetable gardens, and developmentally appropriate indoor classrooms for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, which meet all NAEYC ethics and standard as well as parenting classes for families to support them about how to help their child at home, school, and in the community through partnerships with other organizations in the community who work with children and families.
GOALS
Refurbish and build a center for children and families named after Huldah and VIctor Sewer. The specific goal is to seek financial donations from $10K and up towards a goal of $1Million Endowment. Donating will have donors' families' names honored as the founders of NEGUS Education World Child Development Center (NEW CDC) and will act as benefactors to support low-income children and families by creating a licensed, NAEYC-accredited child development center to fulfill the mission statement. A detailed goal statement is available to interested individuals seeking to be part of the Board of Directors of FUTURE IS HERE!, which will oversee this child and family center.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
There will be a board of directors composed of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. An Executive Director will report to the Board of Directors with monthly reports, however, the board only meets three times a year unless called for a Special Meeting of the Board to discuss immediate issues of operation or new funding. This nonprofit will own the rights to all curriculum, data, intellectual property, logo, buildings, and land for the development of places and spaces for the education of young children and the support of their parents and families. The management and organization of the Negus Education World Child Development Center (NEWCDC) will be based on a board of directors and three directors, the Executive Director, Center director, Fundraising and Marketing Director (Includes Federal Grant Manager and Local Grant Manager) and Financial Directors who will manage the operations of the child development center which is managed and organized by the nonprofit board of directors.
Do you qualify to be a member of the board of directors for a new non profit organization on St. John? Do you have some free time you can donate three times a year.
